Clean room, comfortable beds, nicely decorated throughout, balcony with a beautiful view, deep bathtub and good water pressure. Pick up a “Jill’s” treat and be sure to check out the attached pub during your stay.
Great hotel for price location and staff. Rooms were clean but could use updating/repairs. Amazing sunrise views. The location is central to all surrounding areas however not to amenities such as gas, dining and groceries. That said there is a small convenience store, liquor store and fantastic restaurant on site. Shout out to Kim, Zoey and Riley. You are a credit to the team there - friendly and helpful!!
Great place off the beaten trail! Place was clean, and charming, but a little dated. Felt like we had gone back in time pre-Google Maps travel and just pulled into this quaint little road side motel. Staff were awesome, and the onsite pub served great food breakfast, lunch and supper! The view from our second floor balcony were breathtaking! Would stay here again, for sure!
Me my wife and our friend from Italy stayed in this magical place Wednesday night , what really made our experience was the QUEEN of kindness and hospitality KIM!!, who worked at the front desk,she truly went above and beyond for us,showing a true Cape Breton hospitality. We love it here and highly recommended. We will be back !
Sept,2025 two nights, balcony room, well appointed, beautiful view,tv was problem no cable, pub was excellent, really good food best steak I've had at hotel restaurant in long time, excellent breakfast buffet $14.00, very friendly and professional staff. It’s a beautiful property by the lake with great view of the lake and the mountain. The rooms are clean and have all the required amenities. There is also a very nice restaurant that is part of the property. They host events and have a good selection of menu. I was happy to find a veggie burger on the menu which is sometimes not easy to find especially in a small place. If you are planning a trip to Cape Breton I would definitely recommend this cute little inn. The staff is also very warm and friendly. Breakfast is at an additional cost but it’s worth the price. Thank you for your hospitality!
We loved our short stay at this motel before driving the Cabot Trail around Cape Breton! We were greeted warmly and check-in was a breeze even though we were early. It is a dog-friendly spot and they will offer towels and blankets for the pups if you need it (wow). The rooms are clean and adequate, though simple, and we were thrilled to have a mini fridge. There are all kinds of games to play onsite from lawn games in front to a basketball court and pickle ball in back and boardgames in the pub. The pub! We ate there because it was handy and the reviews were so good! The fish n chips did not disappoint and the service was excellent once again. We left early so didn’t try the breakfast. Highly recommend if you are travelling with kids or pets!!
This is a lovely Inn with fabulous views and plenty of activities to entertain everyone (games for kids, space to run and play, a bar with good beers and food). The staff was very friendly too. Would love to come back!
